Measure W: an investment in our schools

Strong schools, strong community — Measure W delivers both.

Measure W is our community's investment in the four outstanding high schools of the Acalanes Union High School District — Acalanes, Campolindo, Las Lomas and Miramonte — schools that rank among the top 5% nationwide while sitting near the bottom of California districts for state funding.

This is a local funding measure: a $168 parcel tax for eight years, with every dollar staying local. Measure W will help:

  • Attract and retain highly qualified teachers, counselors and librarians
  • Protect the advanced STEM and arts programs that help students get into college
  • Keep class sizes manageable
  • Provide academic intervention for students who need it

And it comes with real taxpayer protections: citizens' oversight and independent audits to make sure every dollar is spent as promised, no funds for administrators' salaries, and a full exemption for homeowners 65 and older.

Our high schools are among the best in the country, and our students deserve to keep them that way. Measure W is good for our students, our schools and our community.
