You deserve more than a request for your trust. You deserve the information to make that decision for yourself.
Supporting strong schools and asking hard questions are not opposites. In fact, I believe they belong together.
When our community is asked to make another financial commitment, voters should be able to understand why it is needed, what has changed, how the money would be used, and how we will know whether it is making a difference.
That is why I went through the data myself and put it here in plain English.
Look at the numbers. Ask the questions. Decide what you think.
As a former journalist, and someone who takes pride in community empowerment, I believe this is essential.

Who I am
A mom who started asking questions, and kept going.
I'm Geetha Ganti, a mom of two kids in Walnut Creek schools. I have a background in journalism — I started my career as a health journalist at CNN and later worked as a local television reporter, where my job was to ask hard questions and explain the answers in plain English. Since then, my background in public health and engineering has taken me into healthcare leadership — finding real savings and using new technology responsibly, without losing sight of the people it's supposed to help. That's the job I want to do on the school board: ask good questions, follow the evidence, and explain the answers so every family can understand them.
