Not a neighborhood school — admission is by application through WCSD's intra-district transfer process, with a lottery when demand exceeds seats. WCSD's only K–8 campus, built around project-based learning.

The Walnut Creek School District serves transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. Five neighborhood elementary schools — Buena Vista, Indian Valley, Murwood, Parkmead, and Walnut Heights — feed into Walnut Creek Intermediate, the district's middle school. After eighth grade, students move to the separately governed Acalanes Union High School District, which is why two different school funding measures appear on Walnut Creek ballots. Tice Creek School, the district's only K–8 campus, admits students by application and lottery rather than by neighborhood. Combined enrollment across all seven schools is about 3596 students.
